The Dialogues of Plato – Greek/Portuguese edition

Graphic identity for the 18 volume collection and artwork for the first 3 volumes. The goal for this project was to interest younger audiences while keeping the more conservative readers satisfied. As a proper bilingual edition, we took the effort to actually typeset the (polytonic) Greek and have the Portuguese translation to follow the original text as close as possible. This demanded a lot from design as pages in Portuguese required varied leading values, but provided a fantastic reading experience • 2010-2011, São Paulo, BR. Nossa Bossa Design: Gustavo Soares & Juliana Altoé (Design) • EdUFPA: Simone Neno (Director) • Plinio Martins Filho (Guest Editor), Benedito Nunes & Victor Sales Pinheiro (Editorial Coordination)
